• Bell peppers
  • 1 pkgs jalapeno cornbread mix
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese slices


Slice top off bell peppers and scoop out. Place in baking dish. Follow directions on cornbread mix and bake. Brown meat and drain. Mix meat and cornbread with 3 Tblsp. tomato sauce to hold together and stuff into peppers. Mix remaining tomato sauce with 1 can of water and pour over stuffed peppers. Bake 350 deg. for 40 minutes or until peppers are tender. Remove peppers from oven and top each pepper with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Return to oven for five minutes. Remove and serve hot.
