Ingredients

  • 50 Pansies
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 cup superfine sugar

Directions

1. Using a wire whisk, mix unflavored gelatin into warm water, making sure it is blended well.
2. Dip pansies into mixture.
3. Shake to remove excess gelatin.
4. Sprinkle sugar over all sides of pansies to cover completely.
5. Place pansies on baking sheets.
6. Let stand until dry and firm.


Recipe makes 50 candied pansies-enough for a 3 tier cake.
