Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup cognac
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Nutmeg

Directions

Separate eggs, placing yolks in one large bowl, whites in another even larger bowl.
Add sugar to egg yolks; beat until fluffy thick. Stir in bourbon, cognac, vanilla, and light cream. Chill if there is time.
Beat egg whites until fairly stiff. Beat heavy cream until fairly stiff. First fold beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture, then gently mix in the whipped cream.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top of each cup.


Serves 4.
