• 2 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 4-1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 12oz. Can Evaporated Milk
  • 32 large (or 3-1/2 Cups of mini) Marshmallows (make sure they are fresh)
  • 3 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (use Toll House-another brand can ruin it)
  • 2 Cubes Butter-cut up (yes butter - not margarine)
  • 2 Cups Chopped Walnuts or Pecans


Butter the sides and bottom of a large heavy duty saucepan. Bring milk and sugar to a boil (stirring constantly) and continue to boil for 8 minutes. Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients (1st marshmallows, 2nd chocolate, then the rest). Beat with a wooden spoon until all is melted and pour into 9"" x 13"" buttered pan. Yield: 5lbs
