Ingredients

  • As many Quahogs as needed .
  • 1 package of linguica or chorizo for every 10 clams -ground up
  • saltine cracker crumbs (food processor works well on these)

Directions

Wash clam shells well before steaming. Steam clams with crushed red pepper if you like spicy if not omit. Strain liquid and set aside. Grind clams with processor or hand grinder. Fry ground linguica or chorizo until cooked add clams and clam broth let simmer about 1 min. Then add cracker crumbs until liquid is absorbed. Stuff clam shells with mixture. Cover with top shell and tie with cooking twine then bake in oven at 350 until the edges are crispy.
