Ingredients

  • 1 cup C & H Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Cream together sugar and butter. Beat in eggs. Mix in pumpkin. Combine dry ingredients. Blend into creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375
degree F oven until lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes.


Makes about 5 dozen soft, spicy cookies.
