Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. 3-day-old bread
  • 5 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1 heaping tablespoon salt
  • 1 heaping tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 large onion, chopped and sauteed in butter
  • 1 1/4 oz. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 oz. vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 lbs. fresh crab meat, shredded

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut crusts from bread and crumble into small bits in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, salt, mustard and mix well. Mix in onions, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and mayonnaise. Add crabmeat by gently folding into other ingredients. Form the mixture as you would small snowballs. Place on baking sheets; bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 40 balls. Serve with hot mustard sauce
