• 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tsp vanilla
  • 2 T cornstarch


Mix brown sugar and water. Cook with dates, nuts, and vanilla. Thicken with cornstarch dissolved in a small amount of water. Cook until thick and serve with very lightly sweetened whipped cream flavored with vanilla or bourbon
