Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of butter (no substitute)
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • 4 slightly underripe bananas, peeled and lengthwise

Directions

Melt butter in chafing dish over moderately low heat. Mix in sugar, and lemon juices, stir until sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture in a baking dish. Add bananas. Bake, uncovered for about a half hour oin a 350 degree oven (F) turning now and then in the syrup to glaze. (makes 4 servings)
