Can impress people by preparing garlic and anchovies beforehand and assembling dressing at the table. Might be tricky the first time. Good luck!
Ingredients
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 2 anchovy filets
- a dash of worchestershire sauce
- a touch of mustard
- 1 coddled egg (semi-cooked for 1 minute)
- cracked pepper to taste
- lemon juice to taste
- a good extra virgin olive oil
- homemade crutons
- 1 head romaine (bite sized pieces)
- grated parmesean
Directions
Chop garlic and anchovies; mash together to form a paste. Add pepper, worchestershire sauce, mustard, and coddled egg and combine well (either by hand or blender). Add lemon juice (optional). Whisk in olive oil (or blend) until mixture and oil incorporate to a nice consistency. Toss with romaine and crutons. Sprinkle with parmesean. Enjoy!
