Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup butter or margerine, softened
  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Spice Cake Mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 jar (8oz.) maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Pecan Halves, red and green candied cherries for garnish

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter. Gradually add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add the cake mix to the butter/egg mixture, beating well on medium. Fold in the chopped cherries and 1/2 of the chopped pecans.

Crease a 10"" bundt pan or tube pan; sprinkle with remaining half-cup chopped pecans. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack.

Make icing by beating milk and powdered sugar together. (or use your favorite icing). Garnish
