Ingredients
- 4 cans tomato sauce (8-oz.)
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup dark Karo syrup
- 1 3/8 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 large fryer -- cut up
Directions
Combine all ingredients except chicken in electric skillet; stir until well blended and bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, add the chicken and cover. Simmer 50 to 60 minutes, turning occasionally. When chicken is done, remove from sauce, then simmer sauce until desired thickness. Spoon the sauce over the chicken, and serve over hot cooked rice. (This makes a lot of sauce).
Serves 4.
