Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 cups oil
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 tablespoons yeast
- 12 egg whites
- 12 cups hot water
- 40 cups flour
- Disolve yeast in two cups water, sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over the top of the yeast (makes it rise better) Mix oil, salt, remaining sugar, egg whites, and remaining water in large mixing bowl. Add flour and mix with a spatula until you can dump ingredients out on kneading surface. Knead for 8-10 minutes and place back in bowl coating with oil to keep from forming crust. Let rise in warm place until double. Punch down dough and knead again for 2-3 minutes. Let rise again and pull off small (1 1/2-2 oz) pieces, roll in a ball and line them in a pan to rise again. Preheat a 400 degree oven and bake for 20 - 25 minutes, turning back to front half way through. This large recipe makes 150 rolls but you can easliy 1/4 recipe.
