Ingredients
- 2 cups dry white wine or leftover flat champagne
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-1/4 cups dry mustard (about 4oz)
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 dashes hot red pepper sauce
Directions
Combine wine, onion, and garlic in a 4-cup glass measure. Microwave on high 4-5 minutes, or until boiling. Let mixture cool (this brings out the maximum flavor). Strain mixture into a bowl. Put dry mustard into same 4-cup glass measure; add strained liquid and blend with a wire whisk. Blend in honey, oil, salt and pepper sauce. Microwave on high for 4 minutes, or until boiling. Stir with whisk. Stirring midway through cooking, microwave on high for another 5 minutes. Pour into glass jars and chill at least 2 days to blend flavors. Makes 2 cups
