Ingredients

  • 8 Tablespoons butter
  • 8 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 large can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • Louisana Hot Sauce to one's taste
  • Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning to taste

Directions

Melt the butter in a sauce pan, blend in the flour and slowly add the milk while stiring. Stir the sauce until it is smooth and thick. If sauce is too thick add more milk. In butter saute the onion, celery, and bell pepper. Add this to the cream sauce. Next add the mushrooms and crabmeat. Season to taste with Louisana Hot Sauce and Tony's.
