Ingredients
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Variations: To 1 recipe add any one of the following:
- 4 sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 medium clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
Directions
Combine ingredients in a jar; shake well before using. (Or mix in an electric blender.) Makes about 1 1/2 cups. Serve with salad greens. (We must have liked a sweeter dressing. My Mom always put a little sugar in, maybe a couple of teaspoons. We would also mix in some mayonnaise, add the sweet pickle relish and call it Thousand Island dressing.
