Ingredients

  • 7 cups walnuts or pecans
  • 4 slices candied pineapple
  • 1/2 pound red candied cherries
  • 1/2 pound green candied cherries
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 pound dates
  • 1 box white raisins
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 2 sticks butter (1/2 pound)

Directions

Cut first 7 ingredients up into small pieces and add to the flour. Cream butter with brown sugar. Add eggs and rest of ingredients to butter mixture. Combine the two mixtures and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
