Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. Karo light or dark corn syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 TBL. margarine
  • 2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked (9") pastry shell

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt margarine with chocolate squares. In bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, vanilla and margarine/chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake 50 to 55 minutes, or til knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Can be served with whipped cream.
