• 1 small box yellow cake mix
  • 1 small box chocolate cake mix
  • Filling and Topping
  • 1&1/2 c heavy cream
  • 3tbs instant coffee
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1-11oz jar raspberry preserves
  • 1 c heavy cream
  • shaved chocolate


Prepare each cake according to package. Bake in 9" pans. Cool and split each layer crosswise, forming 2 layers of each cake.

Filling and Topping
Combine heavy cream with instant coffee and sugar. Chill thourghly, including bowl. Whip cream until stiff. Place one yellow layer on serving plate. Spread with half of preserves, then with a third of the coffee filling. Place one chocolate layer on top; spread with a third of coffee filling. Follow with secong yellow layer, remaining preserves and coffee filling. Now top with second chocolate layer. Garnish top with heavy whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
