The texture is a little coarser than a regular angel food cake, probably from the lack of beating.


  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 (16 ounce)package angel food cake mix


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix and pineapple, with juice, in large bowl and stir with a spoon until well combined. Spoon into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake 35 minutes. Let cool completely in pan. Run a thin, sharp knife around edges of cake before cutting. (I serve from the pan.) If desired, dust cooled cake with powdered sugar. Serve plain or with fat-free Cool Whip.

Totally fat free.
