Ingredients

  • 1/2 c butter or marjarine
  • 1 c lt brn sugar-packed
  • 1/2 c crisco
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbs kayro
  • 2 tbs cold water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 c choc chips (at least)

Directions

Cream: butter, crisco, brn sugar, white sugar, kayro, eggs,
water and vanilla.
Mix flour,soda and salt together then add to creamed mixture
and blend very well.
Add choc chips and fold until well mixed.
Put 1/4 c fulls of batter about 3" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12 to 14 min @ 375, cool a few minutes before removing form sheet.
(decrease baking time for smaller cookies (1/8 c 6 to 8 min)

Note: When completely cool cut a 1/2 inch slab of Vanilla
ice cream and place between 2 cookies for a great "ice
cream sandwich" which you can also wrap,freeze and serve at a later time.....enjoy.
