Don't forget to clean off the mushrooms first !!
- 10 0z. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 pint of beer,(liquid = to a pint)
- flour for dredging (as needed)
- 1-2 lbs. mushrooms (onions can be substituted @ 4lbs.)
Sift the dry ingred. together
Beat the egg in a seperate bowl. Add the beer (or liquid) to th beaten egg.
Add the egg and beer mixture to the dry ingred., mix util smooth.
Dredge the mushrooms (onion) in the flour.
Dip the mushrooms into the batter a few at a time, drop into heated oil deep fry til golden, drain on paper towels,or cardboard, etc.
