This has been made in my family for I don't know *how* long, and we all love it. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/4-lb. bleu cheese
  • 1/4 cup minced ripe black olives
  • 1/2-lb. soft butter
  • 1/4 cup wine vinegar (used red wine vinegar)
  • 2 slices crisp bacon, crumbled

Directions

Use a crusty bread such as French or Italian. Cut thick slices nearly through the loaf but not through the bottom crust, and put the spread between the slices. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 350-degrees. Turn the loaf occadionally so that it will heat through.
