Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken pieces
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 cups (1pt) orange juice
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 oranges segmented

Directions

Coat the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour. Fry them in the oil until golden brown on both sides and then transfer them to a casserole. Add the orange juice,vinegar,sugar,nutmeg and garlic. Stir to mix the ingredients, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes until the chicken is tender. Garnish with the orange segments and cook for a further 5 minutes. Serves 6. Enjoy
