Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or oleo, softened
  • 1/2 c. 10X sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 blanched ground almonds

Directions

Cream oleo and sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Stir in flour, then nuts. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Bake on ungreased sheet for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and roll in more 10X sugar. Mom used to have to hide these so there would be some left for Christmas.
