Ingredients
- 1 Pint Oysters
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
- Shortening or salad oil for frying
Directions
Drain oysters, and chop. Combine dry ingredients. Combine beaten eggs, milk, and butter. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Add oysters. Drop batter by teaspoonfull into hot shortening heated to 350* and fry for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
