Ingredients

  • 1 lge cabbage,
  • 1klo minced meat
  • 2 onions diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cup rice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 6 ripe tomatoes grated or 1 can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 dessert spoon tomato puree
  • 1/4 tspn oregano
  • some fresh parsley chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 cups water.

Directions

Boil cabbage, and keep the very green outside leaves to line the bottom of the pot, break the leaves individually. Put oil into pan, and cook onion, when soft add minced meat, and cook until browned. Add all other ingredients and mix in well. Put mixture into boiled cabbage leaves and roll, put into pot, cover with plates, ( so as the rolls wont come apart when cooking), just cover with extra water, if you like put a little extra salt in, and a little tomato paste. Cook for about 40 minutes.
