Ingredients

  • 1 package stew meat
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • greek seasonings
  • (other veg like corn,bean,okra optioanl)
  • veg oil
  • flour

Directions

Cut meat to smaller bites(if desired)place in large pot and fill halfway with water. Add a couple of dashes of greek seasonings. Boil meat while you cut up carrots to desired bite sizes. Add carrots and let boil for 30 minutes on medium.Add seasonings to taste(don't be afraid to experiment with seasonings it is what makes the stew) Cut all other veg to desired bite sizes and add to meat let boil untill tender.
Thinkener:(Optioanl)
Take small frying pan and cover bottom of pan with oil. When hot add flour. Brown flour by stiring and then add to soup by the spoonful.( flour should be thick, but not paste) Make sure to do this slowly you don't want the soup to be to thick.When you have added your desired tickness let simmer for 15 minutes and serve hot with cornbread or over rice. The whole process should take 1 hour and 30 minutes.
