Very rich but delicious at Christmas or holidays.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 tbspns cocoa
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Next Layer:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 tbspns milk
- 2 tbspns vanilla custard powder or instant vanilla pudding powder
- 2 cups sifted icing sugar
- Next layer
- 4 squares semisweet chocolate
- 1 tsp butter
Directions
Mix the 1/2 cup butter, white sugar, egg & cocoa. Set over boiling water and stir until mixture resembles a custard add crumbs, coconut & nuts. Spread & press into 9X9 pan.
Next, cream the 1.4 cup butter, milk, custard powder & icing sugar. Spread over first mix. Melt the chocolate over hot water (or double boiler or microwave) add butter and blen well. Spread over the icing. Let set in refrigerator a couple of hours.
so sweet, a bit goes a long way
