Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 T.Dijon musturd
- 1t. lemon juice
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 T. minced garlic
- 1 1/2 cups mesquite wood chips
- 6 4-5 in. diameter portobello mushrooms
- 6 whole grain hamburger buns
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 tomato slices
Directions
mix first 4 ingredients in small bowl.Season with salt and pepper. Whisk olive oil and garlic together in another small bowl.
prepare b-b-q med. hi heat. When coals turn white, drain chips and scatter over coals.When chips begin to smoke, brush mushroom caps with garlic oil on both sides and season with salt and pepper.Grill mushrooms until tender and golden brown, about 4 min. per side. Transfer to a platter, cover with foil to keep warm. Grill cut side of buns until golden about 2 min. Serve with lettuce, tomato, and the basil musturd sauce.
