Ingredients

  • graham crackers (1 wax paper package)
  • 1 stick margerine (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 2 packages cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 envelopes Dream Whip (prepared per package instructions)
  • fruit topping (such as cherry pie filling) Chilled until ready to serve.

Directions

Crust: Crush graham crackers finely. Add melted margerine and 1/2 cup powdered sugar to graham crackers in a bowl, mix well. Reserve about 1/4 cup for top. Pat the rest into bottom of 9x11 dessert dish (I like to use glass, so layers can be seen).

Filling: Set cream cheese out unwrapped to soften. Prepare DreamWhip per package instructions in a metal or glass bowl set in frige to chill. In a second bowl place cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar. Mix on low - medium speed of blender until smooth. Gently fold in DreamWhip to retain fluffiness, be sure to blend throughly. Chill now or chill after building cheesecake.

Putting it all together: Gently spoon cheesecake mixture onto graham cracker crust, top with reserved graham cracker sprinkes. Chill until ready to serve. Top with fruit just before serving.
