• Green & red peppers, cut in strips
  • Lg.onion, sliced into rings & separated
  • Broccoli flowers cut in smaller pieces or
  • asparagus sliced diagonally in 1/2"" pieces
  • Shredded carrots
  • Mushrooms and stems sliced across top of mushroom
  • Almost any fresh vegetables may be used.
  • Canned, sliced water chestnuts, sliced
  • Canned or fresh bean sprouts
  • Chicken breast,skinned & boned or
  • good cut of beef sliced in strips
  • 12 Lg shrimp, Raw, cut in thirds
  • 1 TBS canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Heat oil in lg skillet to medium high. Add vegetables at one time and stir fry until vegs are crisp-tender (onions should be opaque). Add mushrooms, water chestnuts and bean sprouts and stir fry quickly. Remove to platter and keep warm. Add 1 tsp oil and meat of choice and fry quickly until done. Return vegetables to skillet and mix with meat. Serve at once over rice or pasta which has been cooked ahead of time. Serve soy sauce on the side. May be served with green salad, or fruit salad, garlic bread sticks are good. Hope this helps
