Recently my husband took a gnocchi making class, these recipes are from the instructor. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 large cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Fontina Cheese Sauce:
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces Italian fontina cheese diced
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley

Directions

Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, pepper and oregano, cook stirring until the garlic is lightly browned.

Fontina Cheese Sauce: While the gnocchi are cooking, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Remove the gnocchi with a slotted spoon and place in a skillet, then add the diced fontina and parsley; mix gently over low heat for a few seconds until the cheese begins to melt and gnocchi are well coated. Stir in a few tablespoons of gnocchi cooking water if the sauce seems to dry. Serve immediately.
