Napa Valley Wine Tasting Notes
1996 Clos du Val Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Score: 91.0 "Among the pantheon of Clos du Val Cabernets, this may be the fruitiest. It starts with a slightly closed nose, then explodes on the palate with a profusion of blackberry, vanilla and spice that is so fruity it gives a momentary impression of sweetness, before finishing long and fruity with a hint of chocolate. The tannin is perfectly integrated, making this an easy wine to drink now (though you could age it another 7 to 10 years). Pair with tomato sauces, beef or curry."
