Title: Jewish baked beef/chicken with potatoes and rice
Type: Stew
Description: A family favourite but we're not sure the version handed down remains authentic! It is a recipe passed on by a Jewish relative (I'm not Jewish)) and had a name similar, phonetically, to 'Gdamp Beef' - apologies. Beef topside, (or chicken pieces) stewed whole with finely sliced carrots, herbs, tomatoes and onions, sliced, then baked again in its sauce and served with a wonderful roast potato and crispy rice mixture. Can you identify this, give it its proper name, and the definitive version please!
