Brown Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb.brown rice
  • water
  • 1 cup instant dry milk 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup raisins(optional)
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • cinnamon

Directions:
Cook rice in water 1"" above layer of dry rice for 30 minutes. Add dry milk. Add small amount of hot rice liquid to egg yolks before adding yolks to mixture on stove. Boil for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add honey and raisins. Cool slightly before adding egg whites. Sprinkle with cinnamon. - Arlene Mininger, Binghamton, NY
