Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temp
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup lightly toasted almonds, hazlenuts or walnuts
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
Directions
Beat butter and brown sugar together until creamy. Mix in sour cream and vanilla. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, soda and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture, mixing until blended. Stir in toasted nuts. Chill 2 hours, or until firm. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, placing cookies 3 inches apart. Dip the dampened base of a glass in granulated sugar. Press each cookie until thin. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove immediately to a wire rack and cool.
