Blond Brownies with Chunks Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1(6-oz.) vanilla baking bar
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cups chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cups semisweet chocolate chunks

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine baking bar and margarine in heavy saucepan; cook over low heat until melted. Set aside to cool slightly. Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla in large bowl, stirring until blended. Add margarine mixture; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; stir into batter. Fold in nuts and chocolate chunks. Spoon into greased 9x9-inch pan; bake 25 minutes. Cool; cut into squares.

Makes 3 dozen.
