Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Kikkoman (the regular, not Lite) soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (approx. 3/4-in long by 1/2-in diameter)
  • 3 cloves of fresh garlic (large cloves)

Directions:
Pare skin off ginger, cut into fine strips, crush, then add it to soy sauce. Do the same with the garlic. Add the sugar to soy sauce. Mix well. Use as marinade for chicken or beef before grilling or baking.

Adjust the amounts of each ingredient as you like it. I like it very thick (lots of sugar). The more sugar you use, the more ginger you ought to add.
