Spicy Turkey Chili Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground raw turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 28-oz. cans tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 15-1/2-oz. can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 12-oz. can beer
  • 1 4-oz. can diced green chili peppers, drained
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon botled hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese(2-oz.

Directions:
In a Dutch oven cook turkey, onion, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, beer, green chili peppers, chili powder, Italian seasoning, sugar, cumin, hot pepper sauce, allspice,and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or to desired consistency. Spoon into serving bowls. Sprinkle with cheese.

Makes 8 servings.
