Chocolate Pudding Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Heat milk to a light boil. While milk cools, combine remaining ingredients in blender to mix. Add cooled milk to blender. Blend. Place mixture in top of double boiler. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

Makes 4 cups.


Omit cocoa to make vanilla sauce. Fondue Tip: Cut breads and cakes used for dipping into small cubes well in advance of serving fondues. This allows time for them to dry out and become crusty which makes for better dipping.
