Chocolate-Marshmallow Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Combine chocolate and butter in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly until chocolate melts. Cool. Combine sugar, egg, vanilla and chocolate mixture in med. bowl; beat with electric mixer until smooth. Stir in marshmallows and pecans. This makes enough for a 9 inch square pan. (My grandchildren love it!)
