Ingredients

  • 1c.pickling salt 1c.white vinegar and 1 gallon water 2 or 3 heads of cabbage and a few of hot peppers. depends on how hot you like.

Directions

Add water,white vinegar and pickling salt to a rolling boil. This is called (Brine) Set aside until cool. Chop cabbage & hot peppers and fill jars.Pour cooled liquid over cabbage.Then take spatula or knife and stir slightly.Seal jars and leave in a dark room for at least 14 days.The longer the better. Great with pinto beans,tacos, fried potatoes and anything else. And be careful not to fill jars to full needs room to work. Enjoy!
