• 1/2 lb.(225 g) butter
  • 1/4 cup(50 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups(280 g) flour
  • 1 cup(1/4 L)ground nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Confectioners' sugar

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.(150 C.) Cream the butter, then add the granulated sugar, flour, nuts, and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Shape with your fingers into delicate crescents, about 2 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide and thick. Roll in confectioners' sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for about 30 minutes, until just faintly browned. Cool, then roll in confectioners' sugar before serving.

Makes about 50 small cookies.
