Applesauce Custard Pie Recipe

2 c. applesauce
1/4 c. melted butter or marg.
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 Tbl. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon peel
4 eggs
Crust for single pie

Combine first 8 ingred.; mix well and pour into pie shell. Bake at 450 for 15 minute, then reduce heat to 375 and bake 30 minutes more or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before serving.
