Lobesscowes (Laupskovs) Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 g (1 pound) meat (ox, lamb or ham) in cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt
  • 1 bay-leaf
  • 1 branch Thyme
  • Black pepper
  • 1 kilo (2 pounds) winter-potatoes, peeled and cut in cubes

Directions:
Start boiling the meat with the spices in just enough water to cover the meat. After 15 - 30 min (depends on the kind of meat) add the potatoes. NO STIRRING!. If the water does not cover the potatoes, add a little. Let simmer for another hour.

The potatoes should now be soft and the meat tender.

Serves 4
