| Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 lb. cream cheese 1/2 lb. butter 1/4 tsp. salt Filling: 1 egg white 3/4 cup ground walnuts 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Mix together flour, cream cheese, butter and salt until combined. Chill at least 2 hours in refrigerator. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix together egg white, cinnamon, walnuts, sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick, cut into 4-inch squares, put 1 tablespoon mixture on each corner, roll diagonally from that corner. Turn ends slightly towards each other to form a crescent. Put on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until delicately browned. Sour cream can be substituted for the cream cheese. It tastes the same and dough is easier to work. |
