Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 1 C. milk
  • 2 T. cooking oil
  • 3 1/2 C. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Meat Filling:
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/3 C. beef broth

Directions

For Dough: Beat milk, eggs and oil together. Add salt and flour; knead till smooth. Cover with damp cloth; let rest 30 minutes to 2 hours. The longer the resting, the easier rolling the dough.

Divide dough into 12 to 14 balls. Keep balls covered with damp cloth. Roll out each ball to about 6" circles. Fill half of the circle with thinly spread meat filling. FOld unfilled half of dough over meat filling. Trim the half moon edge with a small plate. Seal edge with fingertips. (Save dough strig and deep fry for treat). Deep-fry in 375 degree oil until brown. Turn and brown other side. Drain on paper towels.
