Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 3 ea Bread Slices: broken into small bits, *
  • 2 ea Eggs; Lg
  • 1/4 c Onion; Chopped,
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Black Pepper
  • 1/4 ts Sage
  • 1/8 ts Garlic Powder
  • 1 tb Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 small can sloppy Joe sauce
  • 1/2 c Sauce for topping **
  • * You can substitute with 1/2 Cup of Dry Bread Crumbs or 1/2 Cup of Oatmeal
  • ** You can use catsup, chili sauce or barbecue sauce as a topping.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients (except the sauce for topping) together.
Spread the meat mixture into an un-greased loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3-inches or shape into a loaf in an un-greased baking pan (You can line the pan with aluminum foil to aid in clean-up).
Spread catsup onto the loaf and bake, uncovered, for approx 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
About ½ way through cooking, drain off fat (excess liquid).
Drain off the excess fat and serve.
