I came up with this recipe because we love chicken strips, onion rings, and mushrooms , like you would get in resturants. Other recipes just failed, so I started throwing things together and my family just loved it!! We hope you do too!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12oz. can of beer (you may use light beer)
  • 1 - 2 teaspoons red tobasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 - 3 pounds of boneless and skinless chicken breast
  • enough vegetable oil to deep fry in

Directions

Combine first - three ingredients; let stand until light and bubbly. Add tobasco sauce and let stand for several hours or in frig. overnight.
Mix in separate bowl, everything else, except for chicken and oil.
Heat oil until 375 degrees.
Dip chicken into dry flour mixture, then into beer batter and then back into dry flour mixture.
Put battered chicken into hot oil.
Fry until golden brown or until chicken is done. (maybe 5-10 minutes depending on how hot the oil is)
